Recently Kathleen McGinty, former chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality to Bill Clinton and environmental advisor to Al Gore, came to speak to Students for Responsible Business. Ms. McGinty has extensive experience working in both the public and private sectors promoting sustainability. A Philadelphian native, she is the former Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and Chair of the Pennsylvania Energy Development Authority. During her talk to SRB Ms. McGinty spoke predominantly about her role in the private sector with the company Weston Solutions. It was incredibly interesting to learn more about some of the work Weston Solutions does like finding best practices to deal with brownfield remediation. There was a great turnout for this event and we were so happy to host Ms. McGinty.
